Description
Five different cuts, five different knives — instead of forcing two or three blades to do a job they weren't built for.
This set gives you the right blade for the daily range in the kitchen: everyday chef work, vegetables, boning, fine slicing and precise fruit work — all with the strength and edge retention of Damascus steel.
Built to last: a VG-10 core wrapped in 67-layer high-carbon Damascus cladding, nitrogen-cooled during forging, gives you a blade that resists dulling, warping and cracking through frequent heavy use. Hand-finished at 8–12°: sharpened with the traditional 3-step Honbazuke method to a scalpel-like, mirror-polished edge — sharper and more consistent than machine-finished blades. 60+ HRC hardness: holds its edge far longer than standard Western blades. Distinctive abalone handles: waterproof, antibacterial and non-slip, with a bolster-balanced pinch grip for control through long prep sessions. One-time investment, five tools: covers everyday chef work, vegetables, boning, slicing and fruit prep without buying five knives separately.
For home cooks who cook regularly and want the core of their kitchen covered in one coherent, distinctive set instead of mismatched knives bought one at a time.
Contents: Chef Knife, Santoku Knife, Boning Knife, Utility Knife, Fruit Knife
Steel: VG-10 core, 67-layer Damascus cladding. Hardness: 60+ HRC. Edge angle: 8–12°. Handle: Abalone shell.

Premium Craftsmanship
Each HAGANE Blade knife is forged from 67-layer Damascus steel with a VG-10 core — a high-carbon Japanese stainless steel hardened to 60–62 HRC. That means an edge that stays sharper for longer, with a natural resistance to corrosion that requires no special upkeep.
The Damascus layering is not decorative. Each layer adds structural integrity to the blade, reducing the risk of micro-fractures under repeated use. The result is a knife that performs consistently — whether you are breaking down a whole fish or slicing herbs.
Every blade is hand-finished and inspected before dispatch. The handle is ergonomically shaped for control and balance, designed for both right and left-handed use.
This is not mass-produced kitchenware. It is a tool built to last.
2-Year Warranty
All HAGANE Blade knives are covered by a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects including blade integrity, handle attachment and material faults.
If your knife has a defect, contact us at contact@haganeblade.com with photos of the issue. We will assess and resolve it promptly, either by replacement or refund.
The warranty does not cover damage resulting from misuse including dishwasher use, cutting on hard surfaces (bone, frozen food, ceramic boards) or incorrect sharpening tools.

Customer Reviews
Completely changed how I cook
I've been cooking seriously at home for about six years, always with decent European knives. Got the 8-piece set as a birthday present to myself and the difference is genuinely shocking. The blade holds its edge far longer than anything I've used before. Prep time is down, food looks better, and honestly I enjoy cooking more now. Worth every penny.
Verified PurchaseThe perfect gift — he was speechless
Bought the chef's knife set as a Christmas gift for my husband who has been cooking Japanese food at home for years. The packaging alone made it feel like a premium purchase. He says it's the best tool he's ever had in the kitchen — the balance is perfect and the sharpness is unlike anything from the high street. Fast delivery, beautifully presented.
Verified PurchaseProfessional quality, accessible price
I work as a sous chef and have been using Japanese knives for eight years. Picked up the Gyuto for home use and it performs on par with blades I've used in professional kitchens costing three times as much. The Damascus pattern is beautiful, the edge retention is excellent, and the handle sits perfectly in the hand. Highly recommend to anyone serious about cooking.
Verified PurchaseFinally invested properly — no regrets
I kept putting off spending properly on a good knife. After years with supermarket sets, I decided to go for it and ordered the Santoku. The moment I used it for the first time I understood what I had been missing. Vegetables, fish, meat — everything feels effortless. The 30-day return policy made the decision easy. I won't be needing to use it.
Verified PurchaseObsessed with the craftsmanship
I collect Japanese kitchen knives — currently have 14 in the collection. The Damascus blade on this one is genuinely one of the most visually striking I own. The wave pattern is clean, the handle is solid and beautifully finished, and the cutting performance matches the aesthetics. This is the kind of knife you display and use with pride. Outstanding.
